In this session, Hans Jörg Baumann, Chairman and Founding Partner of StepStone Private Debt, will offer a practitioner’s perspective on private credit and its expanding role in global capital markets. He will discuss the forces behind the asset class’s growth, what continues to attract investors, and how current themes such as liquidity, defaults, and valuations are shaping the market. The session will also touch on the key trade-offs inherent in private credit, from return potential and structuring flexibility to diversification across market cycles. Drawing on his experience building a leading private debt platform, Hans Jörg will reflect on his career and share insights into the evolution of the industry and what it takes to succeed in credit and alternative investments. |
Attendees will gain a clear perspective on where private credit stands today, alongside practical takeaways for those looking to build a career in the space. A networking reception will follow the formal proceedings.
