Join the Switzerland & Liechtenstein ICMA Future Leader representatives, Ingo Stössel and Arnaud Vanolli in Zurich, where Luke Burton, Senior Treasury Officer and Asset-Liability Management (ALM) Specialist at Swiss Re Group will provide an introduction to ALM at a leading reinsurance company.
In this session, Luke will cover:
- His route into ALM as an area of expertise, from pensions actuary in London to Reserving, Asset Management and Treasury roles in New York and Zurich
- How ALM is carried out by a large, global reinsurance group, including the crucial impacts capital markets have on ALM
- The key areas which those operating in ALM and capital markets need to be aware of
You will leave this session with an understanding of how reinsurance liabilities drive ALM, and how ALM contributes to the solid performance of a reinsurer.
A networking reception will follow the formal proceedings.
