Overview

Please join ICMA and A&O Shearman in London for an afternoon of discussions with EU and UK policymakers, regulators, and market participants on a range of regulatory developments affecting primary bond markets, followed by a networking reception.

We expect to hear from representatives of the European Commission, ESMA, various EU national regulators, the FCA, major stock exchanges, and leading market practitioners.

As both the EU and UK continue to implement and refine reforms to their prospectus and retail investment regimes, market participants face an evolving regulatory landscape. In the UK, attention is expected to focus on the practical application of the new prospectus framework, the Consumer Composite Investments regime, and ongoing initiatives to support capital market competitiveness and retail participation. In the EU, the implementation of the Listing Act reforms, developments arising from the Savings and Investments Union initiative, and broader efforts to strengthen European capital markets are likely to remain key areas of focus. The conference will provide delegates with an opportunity to hear directly from policymakers and regulators, exchange views with peers, and discuss the implications of these developments for issuers, intermediaries, and investors active in the primary bond markets.

Admission: This event is free to attend and open to all. Please note that the event will be held at 1 Basinghall Avenue Conference Centre and not at the A&O Shearman offices.

If you have any questions, please contact ICMA events.

This event will be held under the Chatham House Rule.
