ICMA Future Leaders (IFL) “Coffee Connection” is an initiative which enables a small group of young talented professionals to have an open, candid and interactive discussion with a leading figure in the capital markets, as well have an opportunity to meet others within the IFL community.
This Coffee Connection session will be held with Francesco Vanni d'Archirafi, Chairman of Euroclear Holding and Euroclear SA/NV.
Francesco has spent most of his executive professional career at Citigroup, where he has held numerous leadership positions including CEO of Citigroup Holdings from 2013–2018, CEO of Citi Global Transaction Services from 2009–2013, Global Head of Citigroup Treasury and Trade Solutions from 2007–2009, Chair of Citibank Europe plc from 2005 2017 and Chair and CEO of Citi International plc from 2001-2004. Until May 2021, he was the Vice Chairman of Citigroup’s Institutional Clients Group for EMEA.
Currently, on top of his position as Chairman of Euroclear, he’s an independent member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Audit Committee of Mapfre SA, as well as an Independent Board Member of SS&C Technologies, Inc. He is also a member of the Advisory Council of Grimaldi Alliance, Co-chair of the Advisory Council of The Kogod School of Business at American University and an International Advisory Board Member of IESE Business School.
Francesco is Emeritus Governor of Junior Achievement Worldwide and is a Trustee of United Way Worldwide and UK, The Felix Project, The Borne Foundation, the Voluntary Solidarity Fund (VSF) and the Vatican Foundation Centesimus Annus Pro Pontifice (CAPP).
Francesco is a Finance graduate of the American University in Washington DC where he received the Stanley I.Posner Award. He has an MBA in Finance and International Business from Columbia University.

Overview of the latest developments in the sustainable bond markets: an ICMA and BofA Securities training workshop (by invitation only) Organised by: ICMA and BofA Securities Time: 08:30 - 16:30 SGT, Tuesday, June 27 Venue: The Westin Singapore ICMA and BofA Securities will hold a one-day training workshop aimed at regulators, issuers, investors and other market participants from the APAC region on June 27 at the Westin Singapore. The workshop will cover a comprehensive range of topics including: an overview of the Principles, financing themes such as climate transition, blue and biodiversity, overview of the EU/ASEAN taxonomies, an update on external reviews, disclosures and reporting as well as a case study on sustainability-linked bond issuance. Presenters will include representatives from ICMA, IFC, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, BofA Securities, RAM Sustainability and Dentons Hong Kong. |
