Overview

Sustainable finance is becoming ever-more prominent in global markets, driving demand for ESG ratings and data products and, crucially, robust standards to ensure their transparency, quality and reliability.

Following the recent publication of the Hong Kong Code of Conduct for ESG Ratings and Data Product Providers, we are pleased to invite you to join us either in-person or virtually as we bring together key stakeholders to discuss the significance of the Code and its four key focus areas of good governance, systems and controls, management of conflicts of interest, and transparency. We will also examine practical applications, and discuss benefits for local, regional and international financial markets.

Closely aligned to recommendations made by the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), the Code was developed by the industry-led and Securities and Futures Commission (SFC)-sponsored Voluntary Code of Conduct Working Group (VCWG) — with ICMA serving as secretariat — to promote greater global interoperability.
